Lyudmila Mihaylova serves as a Reader in advanced signal processing (Associate Professor) with the School of Computing and Communications, Lancaster University, UK. She is pursuing advanced theoretical and applied research in the areas of nonlinear filtering, Monte Carlo methods, data mining, as well as machine learning and inference with applications to various systems such as navigation, surveillance, and video analytics systems. She serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems and Elsevier‘s Signal Processing Journal. She serves as a Senior Member of IEEE, a Member of the International Society of Information Fusion (ISIF), and on the board of Directors of ISIF. She has given a number of invited tutorials and talks including for the EU COST-NEARCTIS workshop, and she is involved in the organization of international conferences and seminars.
