Farid El-Tantawy

Farid El-Tantawy is a Professor of material science and engineering. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Physics Department, Suez Canal University, Ismaïlia, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering through the channel system between the National Research Institute for Ceramic Technology, Faenza, Italy, and the Suez Canal University on the theoretical and experimental high engineering ceramics for biomedical and electronic applications. Later on, Professor El-Tantawy joined the Liquid Alloy Laboratory and the Biomaterials Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering, Niigata University, Niigata, Japan, as a Visiting Professor. Recently, he joined the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Firat University, Elâziğ, Turkey, as a Visiting Professor at the Nanoscience and Nanodevices Laboratory with Professor Dr. Fahrettin Yakuphanoglu. He has research interests in the preparation, characterization, and nanodevices of nanostructures of advanced materials by several chemical and physical routes. Also, he has research interests in conducting polymer nanocomposites for modern technology. Moreover, he has published more than 200 papers in impacted journals.
