William T. Festuccia

William T. Festuccia was born in 1977 at Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of São Paulo, São Paulo, SP, Brazil, in 2004, and did a Postdoctoral Training at Laval University, Quebec, QC, Canada (2005–2009) and Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in 2010. Currently, Festuccia serves as a Young Scientist at the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo. He serves also as a Member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal Physiology- Endocrinology and Metabolism. Festuccia main expertise is in the regulation of energy homeostasis and lipid metabolism by the nutrient sensors PPAR gamma and mTOR.
