Il-Kwon Oh

Il-Kwon Oh received his B.S. degree from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Inha University, Korea. He obtained his M.S. degree from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, both from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). From 2001 to 2004, he was a Senior Researcher at LG Digital Appliance Research Laboratory. From 2004 to 2010, he served as an Assistant/Associate Professor at Chonnam National University and a Visiting Professor at Stanford University, from 2006 to 2007. From 2010 till present, he is an Associate Professor at KAIST. His research interests include electroactive polymer actuators, artificial muscles, biomimetic underwater robots, graphene, graphene-based sensors and actuators, nano-composite and nanotechnology, biomedical active devices, shape memory polymers, smart materials, acoustic metamaterial, ocean systems, and ocean energy.
