Qinglei Hu

Hu Qinglei received his B.Eng. degree in 2001 from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Zhengzhou University, Henan, China, and M. Eng. degree and Ph.D. degree from the Department of Control Science and Engineering with specialization in controls at the Harbin Institute of Technology, Heilongjiang, China, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Since 2003, he has been with the Department of Control Science and Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2006. He worked as a Postdoc Research Fellow in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from 2006 to 2007. From 2008 to 2009, he visited the University of Bristol as Senior Research Fellow supported by Royal Society Fellowship. After that, he visited Concordia University supported by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) from 2010 to 2011. Recently, he has visited the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, again as a Visiting Professor under the support of MINDEF-NTU. His research interests include variable structure control and applications, spacecraft fault tolerant control and applications, and spacecraft formation flying. In these areas, he has published more than 60 technical papers. He was an Associate Editor for the Journal of the Franklin Institute.
