Richard Thompson
Dr. Richard Thompson develops and translates magnetic resonance imaging methods for the study of the morphology and function of heart, vascular system and skeletal muscles. Clinical fields of interest include heart failure, heart transplantation, exercise physiology and risk factors for heart disease including chemotherapy toxicity, diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Thompson works in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Peter S Allen MRI Research Centre (www.invivonmr.ualberta.ca) at the University of Alberta.
