Salvatore Magazu

Salvatore Magazù was born on May 14th, 1961, in Messina, Italy. He obtained his degree in physics in 1981 and his Ph.D. degree in physics in 1988. He became an Associate Professor in physics in 2001 and Full Professor in 2002. Magazù is the author of more than 300 articles in international journals and more than 40 invited communications. He is Chairman of the scientific College Disordered Systems and Liquids of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), Grenoble, France. He is also the President of Consorzio Interuniversitario Scienze Fisiche Applicate (CISFA). In 2008–2010, he was a member of the scientific College 6 Structure and Dynamics of Liquids and Glasses at the international research centre Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), Grenoble. Heis responsible of WG spectroscopy for ESS-Italy and expert in spectroscopic techniques: light and neutron scattering, infrared spectroscopy, and synchrotron radiation spectroscopy.
