John W. Norbury

John W. Norbury obtained the B.S. (with honors) and M.S. degrees in experimental physics at the University of Melbourne in Australia. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics from the University of Idaho in the USA. He has held the position of Professor of physics at a variety of institutions and has served as Physics Department Chair at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. His research interests cover the range of theoretical particle physics, nuclear physics, cosmology and space radiation physics. He has published over 70 refereed journal articles and 30 NASA papers. He has also coauthored a NASA book on space radiation. Currently Norbury is a Senior Research Scientist at NASA Langley Research Center. In 2007 he was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
