Tiribelli Mario

Mario Tiribelli was born in Trieste, Italy, on March 23, 1973. He received his M.D. degree at the University of Trieste, Italy, in 1997, summa cum laude. He did a fellowship in molecular biology at the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences, University of Torino, Orbassano, Italy (Professor G. Saglio) from November 1999 to June 2000. He has been an Assistant Professor in hematology at the University of Udine, Italy, since 2005. Moreover, he has been a Member of the Italian Cooperative Group for the Study of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (ICSG-CML)/GIMEMA CML Working Party since 1999, the Italian Society of Experimental Hematology (SIES) since 2004, and the Italian Society of Hematology (SIE) since 2005. In addition, he is a Reviewer for the following journals: Acta Haematologica, Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics, and Hematology Reviews. His scientific and research fields of interest include chronic myeloid leukemia, chronic myeloproliferative diseases, acute leukemias, and genetic and molecular basis of acute and chronic leukemias. Tiribelli is a principal investigator or coinvestigator in numerous therapeutic protocols on chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic myeloproliferative diseases, conducted according to GCP.
