Michael J. Fellner
Michael J. Fellner, B.S., M.D., serves currently as an Attending Dermatologist at the Metropolitan Hospital and formerly as the Chief of Dermatology Metropolitan Hospital Affiliate at Bird Coler Hospital and as a Professor of dermatology at New York Medical College. He was trained at Mount Sinai and NYU in dermatology and immunology and received eligibility for the M.S. degree in dermatology. He was a 3-year NIH Fellow in dermatology and immunology at NYU and became board certified in dermatology in 1965 and board eligible in allergy. He was awarded the American Dermatology Association Gold Medal for penicillin allergy research by the American Dermatologic Association in 1967, among other awards. He also chaired the annual NYU dermatology symposium for 2 years as well as the one for the Dermatologic Society for Allergy and Immunology also serving as the President and as the Secretary Treasurer. He authored and edited several textbooks and taught immunology and dermatology for 10 years at NYU Skin and Cancer as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology from 1963 to 1973 including residents and medical students. He has been serving as a Guest Lecturer and as a Visiting Professor at University of California San Francisco and as a Lecturer at Harvard Medical School. He has lectured widely throughout the USA and Europe.
