Paul J. Nietert
Paul J. Nietert earned his Ph.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, focusing on the fields of biostatistics and epidemiology. He has been involved with a number of research projects involving rheumatologic diseases including systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) and systemic lupus erythematosus. He has expertise in hierarchical statistical modeling and health services research. Currently, he is an Associate Professor within the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he serves as the Director of the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design Program for the South Carolina Clinical and Translational Research Institute.
