Kazuo Inui graduated from the Nagoya University School of Medicine, Nagoya, Japan, in 1979. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Nagoya University in 1986. He is working now as a Professor of internal medicine, Second Teaching Hospital, Fujita Health University. Dr. Inui is a Member of lots of medical societies including the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology (JSGE), the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JSGE), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE). His main field of interest is clinical study of diagnostic modalities and nonsurgical treatments, especially of pancreatobiliary diseases, like endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS), intraductal ultrasonography (IDUS), endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST), peroral cholangio-pancreatoscopy (POCPS), percutaneous transhepatic choledochoscopy (PTCS), and others.
