Jinting Wang received his Ph.D. degree in hydraulic structural engineering, in 2001, from China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR), Beijing, China, and then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tsinghua University. In 2003, he joined the same university as an Assistant Professor. . In 2008, Wang was a Visitor Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California at Berkeley, CA, USA. Wang currently works as a Professor at the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. His areas of research focus on safety analysis and evaluation of concrete dams, real‐time dynamic hybrid testing of structures, and dynamic soil‐structure and fluid‐structure interactions. He has published more than 100 papers in peer‐reviewed journals. Wang also serves as a reviewer for more than 10 international journals. His rewards include two State Science and Technology Progress Awards, three Science and Technology Advancement Awards of the Ministry of Education, the New Century Excellent Talents in University, the Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Award, and the Young Scholar Award of Tsinghua University.
