Konstantinos B. Baltzis
Konstantinos B. Baltzis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1973. He received his B.S. degree in physics in 1996, his M.S. degree in communications and electronics in 1999, and his Ph.D. degree (with honor) in communication engineering in 2005, all from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece. He joined the Radio Communications Laboratory of AUTH in 1999, where he is currently working as a Research Assistant. He has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Automation at the Alexander Technological Institution of Thessaloniki, Greece, since 2004. From 2004 to 2006, he was a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Electronics at the same institution. In Spring of 2007, he worked with the Network Operations Center of AUTH as a network engineer. Since 1999, he has participated in several R&D funded projects as a Research Assistant in the Radio Communications Laboratory of AUTH. He is a member of the permanent staff of the Department of Physics and the Radio Communications Laboratory of AUTH. During his undergraduate studies, he was awarded by the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece and the Greek Social Insurance Institute. He was also awarded in 2001 a research grant sponsored by the Research Committee of AUTH. He is a Member of the Hellenic Physical Society and reviewer in three international scientific journals. He authored five textbooks and fourteen scientific articles and technical reports, and coauthored twelve scientific articles in international and national journals, conferences, and magazines. He has also coauthored a book (in Greek). His current research interests include spread spectrum systems, wireless networks, propagation, computational electromagnetics, and education.
