Ali I. Abdalla

Ali I. Abdalla was born in Ismailia, Egypt, in 1958. He received his B.S. degree in dentistry in 1981 from Tanta University, Egypt. He received his M.S. degree in restorative dentistry in 1987. In 1989, he went to ACTA, Amsterdam, to work for his Ph.D. thesis investigations with Dr. Carel Davidson, Head of Dental Material Science. After 2 years, he returned back to Egypt to get his Ph.D. degree in restorative dentistry. In 1993, he became a Lecturer at the same department. In 1997, he went back again to ACTA for 6 months to participate in the research programs of the Dental Materials Department. After that, he visited ACTA every year to do a research work. These visits lead to more than 32 international publications with research team from ACTA. Currently, he is a Professor at Tanta University, a Visiting Professor at MIU, a Reviewer at some international journals, and an Editor at the International Journal of Clinical Dentistry.
