Rachid Benhida is currently Director of research at CNRS and Codirector of LCMBA Laboratoty (Laboratory of Bioactive Molecules and Aroma Chemistry) CNRS UMR 6001. He received his Ph.D. degree from ICSN (Institut of Chemistry of Natural Products), University of Paris XI, Orsay, France (1992). After two postdoctoral positions: Hoechst/Roussel-Uclaf (1992-93) and Cancer Institut-Paris (1994), he joined the ICSN as CNRS researcher in 1995. He moved from ICSN to the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, Nice, France in 2002. His current research is focused on nucleic acids chemistry, the development of novel synthetic methods and their applications in the synthesis of bioactive molecules.
