Rosa Sicari

Rosa Sicari was born in 1963. She received a degree in medicine in 1988 and Ph.D. degree in cardiovascular pathophysiology from the University of Milan. She completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pisa. She served as a Senior Staff Investigator of the Institute of Clinical Physiology, National Council of Research. She received Cardiology Fellowship from the University of Pisa. She served as a Chief of the Echocardiography Laboratory of the Institute of Clinical Physiology. She was certified in transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and ecocontrastography by the Società Italiana di Ecografia Cardiovascolare (SIEC) and by the European Association Echocardiography. Besides, she is coauthor of more than 90 articles on international peer-reviewed journals (global Impact Factor >450). In the last 5 years, she published as first author in Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, American Journal of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, and American Heart Journal. She serves as an Invited Editorialist for the European Journal of Echocardiography and JACC Imaging, a Referee for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Heart, American Journal of Cardiology; Annals of Internal Medicine, European Journal of Echocardiography; International Journal of Cardiology, International Journal of Cardiac Imaging. In addition, she is a Deputy Editor of the online journal Cardiovascular Ultrasound, a Member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Echocardiography, a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), a Member of the EAE Board since 2004, and Chair of the EAE scientific committee which covers the preparation of the EuroEcho Programme, the proposals on behalf of EAE for the ESC annual meeting; the selection of the recipient of EAE Research Grant. She is the EAE Representative in the programme for the Scientific Sessions of the American Society of Echocardiography.
