Nivaldo Antonio Parizotto
Nivaldo A. Parizotto is a Full Professor at Physical Therapy Department, Federal University of São Carlos, SP, Brazil. He is a physical therapist; he obtained his M.S. degree in physiology from the Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo, Brazil. He received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (UNICAMP), Campinas, SP, Brazil, and his postdoc in photomedicine at Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He is a PI at Laboratory of Electrophysical Agents and Biomaterials at Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil, where he conducts research about the interaction of physical agents with biological organisms to understand the mechanisms, the dosimetry, and the ideal condition to use that energy to perform repair and regeneration including the early phase, like inflammation process and pain. His field of interest focuses on understanding the use of the electrophysical agents as inductors for repair using some kinds of biomaterials in different kind of tissue such as bone, skin, cartilage, tendon, ligament, and nerve.
