Jeng-Haur Horng

Jeng Hour Horng received the B.S. degree in naval architecture and marine engineering and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. He is a distinguished Professor at the National Formosa University, Yunlin, Taiwan, and is currently a Professor at the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering. His current research interests include tribology, microcontact mechanics, and contact temperature of mechanical parts. He has been appointed for several executive positions such as the Chairman of the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering, Director of the Center of Innovation and Creativity Design, Director of the Center of Micro‐Electro‐Mechanical Design and Application, Deputy Dean of the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Dean of the Research and Development Office, Director General of the Research and Services Headquarters, and the Vice President of the National Formosa University.
