Marco Squassina was born on May 3, 1974, in Brescia. On July 10, 1997, he got a degree in mathematics from Catholic University, Brescia, Italy. On January 15, 2002, he got the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Milan, Milan, Italy. From mid-2002 to mid-2006 he was a Postdoc at the Politecnico di Milano, with a temporary position provided by the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica and of the University of Milan-Bicocca. From October 1, 2006, to December 31, 2010, he worked as an Assistant Professor of mathematical analysis at the University of Verona. Since January 1, 2011, he serves as an Associate Professor of mathematical analysis at the University of Verona. He has authored about eighty research papers. Since 2006 he is in the editorial board of various journals among which Abstract and Applied Analysis, Central European Journal of Mathematics, and Electronic Journal of Differential Equations. Since 2011 he serves as an Editor-in-Chief, jointly with V. Radulescu, of the journal Advances in Nonlinear Analysis by De Gruyter. His research interests include elliptic PDEs via techniques of nonsmooth analysis, abstract critical point theory, nonlinear Schrodinger equations, and infinite dimensional dissipative systems.
