Erich Cosmi is born in Rome, Italy on December 1st, 1973. He graduated in medicine at Sapienza University of Rome on July 13th, 1999, summa cum laude. Cosmi was invited for three consecutive periods (1994, 1996, 1998), each period lasting three months, at the School of Medicine, Yale University, New Haven, Conn, USA. In the academic year of 1999-2000, he joined the residency school in Ob/Gyn at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, Rome, Italy. In April 2001, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the School of Medicine, Virginia University (USA) for 3 years and completed the Ph.D. degree in 2003. From 2001 to 2004, he was an Assistant Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the School of Medicine, University of Sassari (Italy). Since September 1st 2001, he has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the same school, Italy. In November 12th, he accomplished the residency in obstetrics and gynecology also at the same university. Since November 1st 2004, he has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the School of Medicine, University of Padua. Cosmi is the author of 220 publications, with impact factor of 135, citation index of 324, and H-index of 10. He has become an International Member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2000, Member of The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine since 2005, Expert Referee for ECM in medicine appointed since 2005 by the Ministry of Health. Since 2007, he has become encountered in the following encyclopedias: Who's who in the World, in Science and Engineering, and in America, he has also become the Director of the Prenatal Diagnosis and Fetal Therapy Unit in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Padua University since the same year, and since 2010, he has been in the Physician Board for Women’s Health of United Nations.
