Yongmin Li serves currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and Computing at Brunel University. He received his Ph.D. degree from Queen Mary, University of London, M.Eng. and B.Eng. degrees from Tsinghua University, China. His research interest covers the areas of computer vision, image processing, video analysis, medical imaging, bioimaging, machine learning, pattern recognition, automatic control, dynamic systems, and nonlinear filtering. Before joining Brunel University, he worked as a Research Scientist in the British Telecom Laboratories. Dr. Li is the recipient of several academic awards including the the BMVA Best Scientific Award 2001, the Best Paper Prize in IEEE RATFG 2001, and the Best Poster Prize in BMVC 2007. Dr. Li serves as a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
