Pranela Rameshwar

Pranela Rameshwar is a Professor at the Department of Medicine-Hematology/Oncology, New Jersey Medical School University of Medicine and Dentistry. She is also affiliated to the Biomedical Engineering Department at New Jersey Institute of Technology, NJ, USA. The main focus of her laboratory pertains to stem cells. The research includes investigations on breast cancer stem cells, the immunology of mesenchymal stem cells, neural repair by mesenchymal stem cells, and hematopoietic regulation. Dr. Rameshwar has received research grant funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, the F.M. Kirby Foundation, New Jersey Cancer Commission, and numerous other funding agencies. She has published widely on her research.
