Dau-Chyrh Chang

Dr. Dau-Chyrh Chang has been the Chair Professor and founder Director of CTC (Communication Technology Center) at Oriental Institute of Technology since 2006. Prof. Chang is also the founder Dean, College of Electrical and Communication Engineering since 2008. He spent 17 years in antenna research and development at CSIST (Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology). For 12 of these years, he served as director of antenna section. From 1998 to 2006, Prof. Chang was the founder Dean of the Engineering School and Director of CRC (Communication Research Center) at Da Yeh University.
Prof. Chang developed reflector antennas, phased array antennas, slot array antennas, patch antennas, and communication antennas. He also established new and innovative antenna test ranges (compact range, near field range). From these achievements, Dr. Chang has achieved recognition throughout Taiwan not only as an engineer and educator, but also an outstanding technical leader.
Prof. Chang has been received many awards, chaired international conferences, and committee memberships. They are IEEE AP-S Best Chapter Award, many Outstanding research awards from DYU and OIT, Outstanding Engineer Award from the Chinese Engineering Society, established the IEEE AP-S Taipei Chapter in 2001 and was elected as the first Chair, Chair of IEEE MTT-S Taipei Chapter, Chair of Chinese Microwave Association, Chair of Commission A of URSI-China, SRS (Taipei), Co-General Chair of APMC2001, General Chair of CSTRW2001, General Chair of ISAP2008, and General Chair of ICONIC2009. Prof. Chang is Fellow of IEEE.
