Phil D. Chilibeck

Philip Chilibeck is a Professor at the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. He has been in this position for 17 years. He has a B.S. degree from the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada, an M.S. degree from McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada, and his Ph.D. degree from University of Western Ontario, London, ON, Canada, and did a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. He is the President-Elect for the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and the Former Chair of its Health and Fitness Program. His main research areas include prevention of osteoporosis and metabolic disease and improving exercise performance in elite athletes. His current research is supported by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. His research has been featured on local and national radio and television and in newsprint media.
