Lahcen Bih obtained a Ph.D. degree (State Doctorate) in solid state chemistry, materials sciences at the University of Moulay Ismaïl, Meknès, Morocco, 2001; the title of his thesis was “Studies of phosphate glasses containing transition metal oxides: synthesis, structure, and electrical properties.” He also obtained a Ph.D. degree (Doctorate of 3rd cycle) in inorganic chemistry, material sciences from the same university, in 1994. He is a Research Fellow and an Associate Professor. His research interests include characterization of glassy materials; synthesis, chemical composition control, and extensive experience in synthesis of new compounds by solid state reaction, coprecipitation, sol-gel, and combustion method; elaboration and characterization of nanomaterials having specific properties (catalytic, electric, etc.); skills in X-ray diffraction, crystal chemistry, crystallography on powder; Raman and infrared spectroscopies, and factor group analysis.
