Masahiro Sugimoto

Masahiro Sugimoto received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in 1998 and 2000, respectively. He also received Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics from Keio University, Yamagata, Japan, in 2005. He worked as a Research Associate and an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University. Since April 2010, he has been a Senior Lecture, Laboratory for Malignancy Control Research, Medical Innovation Center, Graduate school of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, Kyoto University. His research topics include data mining technologies for medical data and metabolomics for understanding cancer metabolism and biomarker discovery.
