Veselin Mitrovic is a Professor of cardiology at the Johann–Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany and Kerckhoff-Klinik GmbH, Bad Nauheim, Germany. Moreover, he is the Medical Director of Kerckhoff-Klinik Forschungsgesellschaft mbH and the Senior Consultant at the Kerckhoff-Klinik GmbH. Mitrovic is a Visiting Professor at the University of Belgrade and Nis, Serbia. Dr. Mitrovic earned his medical degree from the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfort-on-Main. He completed his studies of medicine at the University of Belgrade and completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology in1985 at the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfort-on-Main; William Harvey clinic in angiology, Bad Nauheim; Kerckhoff-Klinik, Bad Nauheim, Germany. His research interests include heart failure and cardiac transplantation, arterial and pulmonary hypertension, and arrhythmia. He is involved in clinical drug and device trials in heart failure and arrhythmia (CIBIS I+II, Pafac, ERAFT, LIDO, ValHeft, PIAF, OVERTURE, SIRIUS I+II, etc.). In addition to authoring more than 300 original papers, abstracts, book chapters, and review articles, Dr. Mitrovic serves on the Editorial Boards of several major journals including the Perfusion, Serbian Archives of Medicine, and Acta Medica Mediane. He is also a scientific reviewer for the following journals: Clinical Research in Cardiology, Perfusion, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgeon, and Serbian Archives of Medicine.
