Jian Xiao obtained his Ph.D. degree in pharmacology from Zhongshan Medical College, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangdong, China, and performed his postdoctoral studies at Peking University, Beijing, China. He joined Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, in 2008, as a Visiting Scholar. His research interest is molecular pharmacology, specifically in pharmacology of fibroblast growth factor. He has been selected as the high-level innovative health talents in 2012. Now he is the Director and Associate Professor of the Molecular Pharmacology Center of Wenzhou Medical University, Zhejiang, China. Dr. Xiao is in charge of the grant including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the National New Drug Creation Program. He has published forty articles. He got five invention patents and two national prizes.
