Trees J. Chuang

Trees J. Chuang was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1970. He received his B.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science, Soochow University, in 1992, Taiwan. Since August 1992, he joined Dr. Ja-Chin Lin’s laboratory and studied for the Ph.D. degree at Department of Computer and Information Science of National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in July 1993. He received the Ph.D. degree in May 1998. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, in October 1998. In 2003, he joined Genomics Research Center, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, serving as an Assistant Research Fellow. Since 2007, he acts as an Associate research fellow there. He received Academic Paper Awards from the Image Processing and Pattern Recognition (IPPR) Society in 1998, Postdoctoral Research Award of National Health Research Institutes (Taiwan) in 2001, Wu Ta-Yuo Memorial Award, National Science Council in 2007, and Academia Sinica Research Award for Junior Research Investigators in 2007. Now, he acts as an Associate Editor of BMC Genomics.
