User Biography : Dr Elena Pasyukova Elena Pasyukova was born in Moscow, Russia in 1954. She received her M. Sc. Degree in genetics from Moscow State University in 1977, and her Ph. D. and Dr. Sci degrees in genetics from Institute of Molecular Genetics, Moscow in 1986 and 1999, respectively. Since 1979, E. Pasyukova has a permanent position in the Institute of Molecular Genetics of Russian Academy of Sciences. Presently, she is a Head of the Laboratory of Genome Variation. Since 2006 E. Pasyukova gives a course of lectures in Population Genetics at the Department of Genetics of the Biological Faculty of Moscow State University. In 1991-2005, E. Pasyukova worked as a Visiting Scientist in the Laboratory of Biology, Genetics and Biometry URA243, University Lyon 1, France, at the Department of Biochemistry, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, U.K., at the Department of Genetics, North Carolina State University, USA. In 2002, E. Pasyukova was given a State Award of Russian Federation in Science and Technology.
