Donald M. Arnold
Donald M. Arnold serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Thromboembolism at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, Canada and as an Associate Medical Director of the Canadian Blood Services, Hamilton centre. Dr. Arnold obtained his M.D. degree from McGill University, completed internal medicine training at McGill, and Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Fellowships at McMaster University, where he is currently Director of the Transfusion Medicine Residency Program. He obtained an M.S. degree in health research methodology from McMaster University. Dr. Arnold works as a translational researcher with an interest in immune blood disorders including immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and the optimal utilization of blood products with a focus on clinical trials, health services outcomes, and decision-making research.
