Tong Lin

Tong Lin received his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 1998. After several years of postdoctoral research in Australia and USA, he joined Deakin University, VIC, Australia, in 2003, working as a Research Academic Staff Member, Senior Research Fellow, Associate Professor of fibrous materials, and now Professor of fibrous materials (Personal Chair). He is also an ARC Future Fellow, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC, UK), and Associate Director for the Australian Future Fibres Research and Innovation Centre. Lin's research interests are in polymers, nanofibers, functional fibrous materials, and electrospinning. He has published over 160 journal articles, 5 books, and more than 90 other papers on nanofibers and functional fabrics.
