Katerina Stamatelatou

Katerina Stamatelatou has been an Assistant Professor in the Democritus University of Thrace, Orestiada, Greece (Department of Environmental Engineering) since 2012. She is a chemical engineer, and she obtained her diploma and Ph.D. degrees in optimization of anaerobic digestion reactors from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Patras, Patras, Greece. Her field of research includes the study of the toxic effect of xenobiotics on the anaerobic digestion process, the mathematical simulation of the process, the design and optimization of anaerobic systems for biogas, and/or hydrogen production from model compounds and wastes.
