Andreas Rausch is the Head of the Software Systems Engineering Section at the Department of Informatics and is the Nonexecutive Vice President for Information Management and Infrastructure at the Clausthal University of Technology, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany. Previously, he was the Head of the Department of Software Architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern, Kaiserslautern, Germany. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany. His research in the field of software systems engineering is conducted on software architectures, model-based software development, and process models. In these areas, he has published more than 70 international papers. Professor Dr. Rausch is the project manager for the development of the V-model XT, which is the development standard for German federal IT systems. Apart from his research activities, he has been instrumental in industrial software projects for the development of large, distributed systems. He is one of the four founders and shareholders of the software and consulting company 4Soft GmbH, Munich.
