Jair Scarmínio
Jair Scarmínio got his undergraduation in mathematics at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho in 1974, complementary undergraduation studies in physics at Universidade de São Paulo-São Carlos in 1975, M.S. degree in physics at Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 1980, Ph.D. degree in science at same university in 1989. He served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, and at Univesitá di Roma-La Sapienza, Italy, in 1992-1993. He served as an Associated Teacher and Researcher at Universidade Estadual de Londrina, Brazil, since 1981 in the Physics Department. He is presently a Researcher of the The National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq-Brazil). He is a Coordinator of the Thin Films and Materials Laboratory and of the X-Ray Diffraction Laboratory. His research experiences in surfaces and interface; thin films science and technology; mechanical and optical properties of thin films; electrochromism and photochromism in thin film; intercalation electrodes for energy storage and conversion; applied electrochemsitry; ion-lithium battery technology; battery recycling. At moment, has also a position as Manager of the Innovation Agency at Londrina State University, Brazil.
