Aldo Minardo received the Laurea degree, summa cum laude, in electronic engineering from the University of Naples “Federico II”, Naples, Italy and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Second University of Naples, Aversa, Italy, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Second University of Naples and is a reviewer for several technical journals and author of more than 30 publications on international journals and 3 patents. His main research interests include distributed and point optical fiber sensors. Dr. Minardo received the Best Doctoral Thesis Award in Optoelectronics of the IEEE-LEOS Italian Chapter in 2005.
