Maria Helena Palucci Marziale is a Full Professor at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing Research Development, University of São Paulo Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing (EERP/USP). She is the Head of the Department of General and Specialized Nursing, an Editor of the Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem (Latin American Journal of Nursing), the Coordinator of the Nursing Journals Database REV@ENF of the Virtual Health Library (Nursing/BIREME), a Member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, a Member of the International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing (IDEN), a Member of the Scientific Committee of Occupational Health Nursing (ICOH), a Member of the International Scientific Advisory Panel of the Royal College of Nursing, a Leader of the Study Group on Health and Work (NUESAT/ USP), a Coordinator of the Occupational Accidents Prevention Network (REPAT/ USP), and responsible for graduate courses and tutoring of M.S. and Ph.D. nursing students of the Fundamental Nursing Program and Interunit Doctoral Program in Nursing at the USP. Moreover, she works on occupational health nursing, with emphasis on the following themes: occupational nursing, ergonomics, prevention of diseases, occupational accidents, and occupational violence.
