Haixian Wang received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in statistics and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Anhui University, Anhui, China in 1999, 2002, and 2005, respectively. From 2002 to 2005, he was with the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Computing and Signal Processing of the Ministry of Education of China. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the Key Laboratory of Child Development and Learning Science of the Ministry of Education, Research Center for Learning Science, Southeast University, Jiangsu, China. He worked as a Research Associate at the Dana and David Dornsife Cognitive Neuroscience Imaging Center of the University of Southern California, Calif, USA from 2008 to 2009. He visited the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and the School of Computer Engineering of the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2010 and 2011. His research interests include neural signal processing (EEG/fMRI feature extraction and classification), statistical pattern recognition (dimensionality reduction and image analysis), and machine learning. He has authored or coauthored over 40 peer-reviewed scientific papers in conferences and journals, including IEEE TBME, IEEE TNSRE, IEEE TNN, IEEE TSP, IEEE TIP and Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing. He has been a reviewer for over 10 international journals (such as IEEE Transactions) and many international conferences.
