Kimihiro Matsukawa

Osaka Municipal Technical Research Institute, Japan

Kimihiro Matsukawa received his Ph.D. degree of engineering under the guidance of Professor T. Kitao at Osaka Prefecture University (Japan) in 1983. He started to work as a Researcher at Osaka Municipal Technical Research Institute from 1984. He was a Visiting Scientist at the Chemistry Department (Professor Philip Boudjouk), North Dakota State University, USA, from 1992 to 1993. Now, he is a Senior Research Scientist and a Leader of Hybrid Materials Laboratory, in the Electronic Material Research Division of the Osaka Municipal Technical Research Institute. His research subjects are the preparation of organic-inorganic hybrid materials, functional polymers, silicon-based polymers, photopolymers, and their optical and electronic properties. His current interests are functional hybrid coatings, hybrid materials of controlled refractive index for optical applications, and materials for printed electronic devices. Dr. Matsukawa is a Member of the Chemical Society of Japan, the Society of Polymer Science, Japan, the Society of Silicon Chemistry, Japan, the Adhesion Society of Japan, the Japanese Sol-Gel Society, and RadTech Japan. He is an Affiliate Professor of Waseda University (Professor Washio), Osaka City University (Professor Matsumoto), and Osaka Electro-Commu. University (Professor Nishioka).
