Steve H. T. Yang received the Ph.D. degree in physiology in 1987 from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA. In 1983, he has got a medicine certification from Zunyi Medical College, Zunyi, Guizhou, China. Furthermore, in 1977, he studied medicine at the Kirin Medical College (Renamed as College of Medicine, Jilin University), Changchun, Jilin, China. From 2007 till present, he works as a Research Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, Mo, USA. From 1997 to 2007, he worked as a Research Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, Mo, USA. Moreover, from 1992 to 1997, he worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiology, SUNY-HSC at Syracuse, Syracuse, NY, USA. From 1991 to 1992, he worked as a Research Scientist at Department of Physiology, SUNY-HSC at Syracuse, Syracuse, NY, USA. Besides, from 1989 to 1991, he was a Fellow of American Heart Association, Department of Physiology, SUNY-HSC at Syracuse, Syracuse, NY, USA. Yang was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physiology, SUNY-HSC at Syracuse, Syracuse, NY, USA, from 1987 to 1989. His research interests include study cardiovascular system adaptations to exercise training with animal model of cardiovascular diseases, especially functional control of cardiovascular system and collateral vascular expansion.
