Silvana Arrighi

Silvana Arrighi, born and living in Milan, Italy, received a D.V.M. degree with honors from the University of Milan (Italy), in 1978. She works as an Associate Professor of domestic animals anatomy at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Milan. Her teaching activity includes domestic animals anatomy for the degrees in veterinary medicine and animal science. Her research interests include several aspects of animal morphology, carried on utilizing histologic, histochemical, immunohistochemical, and ultrastructural methods. Her main arguments of interest are morphofunctional studies on the male and female urogenital system in domestic mammals, morphofunctional studies on the gastrointestinal tract in mammals and fish, and preclinic anatomy. She published 145 abstracts and peer-reviewed articles.
