Feng Xia received B.E. and Ph.D. degrees (both with highest honors) from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang, Hangzhou, China, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He served as a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Information Technology, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, QLD, Australia, from 2007 to 2008. Before joining the School of Software, Dalian University of Technology (DUT) in 2009, where he serves currently as an Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor, Xia served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University. He serves on the editorial board of several international journals and serves as a general chair, PC chair, workshop chair, publicity chair, and PC member of a number of conferences. Xia serves also as a guest editor in several journal special issues. In 2005, he was awarded Zhu Kezhen Scholarship from Zhejiang University, IEEE/ACM GreenCom-2010 Outstanding Leadership Award in 2010, IEEE CPSCom-2011, and iThings-2011 Outstanding Leadership Awards in 2011. He received MDPI Certificate of Editorial Achievement in 2009. Xia authored/coauthored one book (research monograph published by Springer) and 110+ scientific papers in international journals and conferences. His research interests include mobile and social computing, intelligent systems, and cyber-physical systems.
