Thomas M. Halaszynski born in McKeesport, PA. Received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Thiel College with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. Then he went onto dental school receiving his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) from Temple University School of Dentistry as well as a general dentistry clerkship from Temple. Subsequent to service in the non-uniform branch of the Public Health Service of the United States Health and Human Services practicing Dentistry, he went onto medical school receiving his Medical Degree (M.D.) from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. In 1994 following a one year internship in Medicine, Thomas went to Yale Universities School of Medicine where he completed his anesthesiology residency, specialty fellowship training in Regional Anesthesia/Pain Medicine and as a one year Research Fellow in Behavioral Medicine. Shortly after joining the medical staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Thomas received his Master of Business Administration (m.B.A.) at the University of New Haven. Currently, Thomas Halaszynski is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Yale Universities School of Medicine with an appointment on the medical staff of Yale-New Haven Hospital. His area of expertise is in Regional Anesthesia/Acute Pain Medicine with research interests in regional anesthesia, acute pain medicine management, and postoperative cognitive dysfunction. He serves on a host of editorial boards, active in many professional societies, active at the local, state and national levels of legislation dealing with the practice of Medicine and the practice of the specialty of Anesthesiology.
