Angaiah Subramania

Subramania Angaiah works as an Associate Professor at Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry, India. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in industrial chemistry (applied electrochemistry) from Alagappa University in January 2001. His research interests are mainly in the development of functional 1D nanomaterials for advanced Li-ion batteries, fuel cell, supercapacitors, dye-sensitized solar cell, sensors, and so forth. He has published more than 60 research articles in various international journals and also published 8 manuals/books. He has taken more than 10 patents in India, USA, and Europe countries. He acted as Principal/Coinvestigator for many funded research projects which include AICTE, UGC, DST, DRDO, AURF, CSIR, and others. He has undergone his KOSEF-Postdoctoral program at Korea Institute of Science and Technology, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He has received many awards which include SAEST-Smt.Annapurna Award (1998), CSIR (CECRI)-Best Technology Award (2001), AICTE-Career Award, 2001, Alagappa University Academic Achievement Award, 2006, IBC, Cambridge International Scientist of the year 2007 Award, and others. He is a Fellow in the Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Science and Technology, Karaikudi, India and also the active Member in Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi, Materials Research Society of India, Bangalore, Materials Research Society of India, Hyderabad, the Society for Polymer Science (India), Pune, Solar Energy Society of India (International Solar Energy Society, India Section), New Delhi, and others.
