Amelia Montone had a degree in physics in 1984 (Sapienza University of Rome). Since 1988, Montone has been a Researcher at ENEA, Research Centre of Casaccia, Rome, Italy. Research work has been on applications of electron microscopy methods to material science problems. In the last ten years her research is focused on synthesis, microstructural, and thermal characterization on nanocomposite for hydrogen storage, and she is the author of more than 90 publications in international journals; Invited Speaker at congresses; President of SISM (Italian Society for Microscopical Sciences) since 2008; Project Scientific Leader in national and European projects on hydrogen storage materials.
