Kenichi Kasamatsu received his Ph.D. degree in physics from Osaka City University in 2003. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Osaka City University, Japan (2004-2005). He served as a Senior Lecturer in Physics, Department of General Education, Ishikawa National College of Technology, Japan (2005-2008). Since 2008, he became a Senior Lecturer of physics, Department of Physics, Kinki University, Japan. His current research focuses on understanding theoretically the structure, stability, and dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) of ultra-cold atomic gases in confining potentials.
