Ram N. Mohapatra
Dr. Mohapatra is a professor of mathematics at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, from august 1984. Prior to this he was a professor of mathematics at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and visiting professor at York University, Canada. He has held visiting positions at University of Alberta, University of Calgary and the Memorial University of Newfoundland at Canada. He is a mathematical analyst with a wide research interest. He is the collaborative author of two books (one on Biomedical Statistics and the other one on Fuzzy Differential Equations) and two edited research monographs on Approximation Theory. He is the author and co-author of over 110 published research papers in peer reviewed journals which include Proceeding of the London Mathematical Society, Journal of the London Mathematical Society, Proceedings of the Royal Society of England, Series A, Proceeding of the American Mathematical Society, Mathematiche Zeitschrift, Journal of Approximation Theory, Journal of Optimization Theory Applications etc. He is an editor of the Communications on Applied Nonlinear Analysis, Journal of Inequalities Applications, International Journal of Applied Mathematics, Pan American Journal of Mathematics, Advances in Variational Inequalities and is a member of the editorial board of the journal, Mathematical Inequalities and Applications. He has supervised the research of 6 Ph.D. and 32 MS students and served as Chairman and graduate program coordinator in American University of Beirut and University of Central Florida, respectively. His current research interests include approximation theory, frame theory, optimization theory and variational inequalities.
