Mohammad Imdad is presently a professor in the Department of mathematics, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He has done his Ph.D. in 1984 in the domain of Fixed Point Theory under the supervision of M.S.Khan and become lecturer in 1985 and promoted as a associate professor in 1977 and as a professor in 2005. He has taught almost all the courses at under graduate level which include Calculus, Geometry, Algebra, Real and Complex Analysis, Linear Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Mechanics etc. while at post graduate (also sometimes at M. Phil. as well as Ph.D. level) most of the courses of Analysis which include Functional Analysis, Complex Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, Measure Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Topology, Integration Theory etc. His research interest is in Nonlinear Functional Analysis (Fixed Point Theory), Best Approximation, PM Spaces, Fuzzy Metric Spaces, Ordered Metric Spaces, Complex Valued Metric Spaces and Intuitionistic Fuzzy Metric Spaces. Thus for he has supervised seven Ph.D. theses and ten M.Phil. dissertations. He has more than 130 publications to his credit. He is a frequent reviewer to almost all top journals of analysis besides being reviewer to Mathematical Reviews. He is also involved in the editorial work of certain journals which includes the following: • International Journal of Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Applications. • Aligarh Bulletin of Mathematics. • The Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Applications (TJNSA). • Journal of Applied Mathematics and computations. • World scientific publication
