Scott Wade
0000-0002-7174-5590Scott Wade graduated in 1994 from Victoria University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia, with a B.S. degree (with honors) in applied physics and was awarded a Ph.D. degree from Victoria University of Technology in 2001 for research on optical fibre-based temperature sensors. He has over 17 years of experience in both research and the application of optical fiber technology for sensing of a range of parameters. In addition to his recent work on biomedical sensors, he has made notable contributions in the areas of optical fiber thermometry, multiparameter sensing using optical fibers, and studies of the fundamental properties of fiber Bragg gratings. This research has involved collaboration with leading industrial, government, and academic institutions and has been widely published. Wade is a Senior Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology in the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Sciences.
